This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness,
some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house,
empty its furniture.
Still, treat each guest honorably.
he may be clearing you out for some new delights.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide beyond.

I am
I am so close to you, yet I am distant.
I am so mingled with you, yet I am apart.
I am so open, yet I am hidden.
I am so strong, yet I totter.
I am so mingled with you, yet I am apart.
I am so open, yet I am hidden.
I am so strong, yet I totter.
You Ask Me
You ask me
who are you, and
with such a shaky existence can you fall in love.
How do I know
who am I or where I am
how could a single wave
locate itself in an ocean.
You ask me
what am I seeking
above and beyond
the pure light that I once was.
Why am I imprisoned in this cage
named body,
and Yet I claim to be a free bird.
How do I know
how I lost my way.
But I know for sure
I was all straight before I was seduced by love.
who are you, and
with such a shaky existence can you fall in love.
How do I know
who am I or where I am
how could a single wave
locate itself in an ocean.
You ask me
what am I seeking
above and beyond
the pure light that I once was.
Why am I imprisoned in this cage
named body,
and Yet I claim to be a free bird.
How do I know
how I lost my way.
But I know for sure
I was all straight before I was seduced by love.

Your Defects
An empty mirror and your worst destructive habits,
when they are held up to each other,
that's when the real making begins.
That's what art and crafting are.
A tailor needs a torn garment to practice his expertise.
The trunks of trees must be cut and cut again so they can be used for fine carpentry.
Your defects are the ways that glory gets manifested.

Rumi
The Poet of Love!
Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow a
thousand times
Come, yet again, come.
Please Don't Go
It doesn't matter if the eye, the mind, and the soul should all get up and leave
Let them go.
But don't you ever go away.
seeing you here is better than having all of them.
The sun and the sky took shelter in your shadow.
Even the sky and the stars depart.
Don't go.
O one whose most garbled words are purer than essence, let the essence go.
But don't you go.
The faithful are afraid of being separated from the faith in their last few breaths.
My only fear is to be separated from you.
Don't go.
Don't go.
But if you must, then take my soul with you.
